Rickie Fowler of Murrieta, a freshman at Oklahoma State and the nation’s top-ranked male golfer, shot a final-round 68 to finish at 9-under 279 at Whispering Pines GC in Trinity, Tex., and became the sixth Cowboy to win the Big 12 title; it was also Fowler’s ninth consecutive top-10 finish to start his college career.
